I have a prayer request for a little baby who is very sick. Our friends, Jay and Christie, have friends, Jay and Lindsay, who have a week old baby boy, Riley. Although born full term at 37 weeks, he developed some complications. He then developed NEC - a word that strikes fear into the hearts of any NICU parent.
Riley was air-lifted from Wilmington to Duke and is there now. He seemed to be doing better for a few days, but today has developed fluid in his abdomen and seems to be in considerable pain. His little belly is distended and if it does not quickly begin to resolve itself, little Riley will have surgery.
