I think Ben and I need to revamp some parenting strategies.
Scene: Daddy gets the girls up from a nap. Natalie and Abby are snuggling on the couch with Mommy where the tv is showing the local news. The weather outside is actually rather nice. A big storm last night cooled things off a bit.
Daddy: Let's go outside and take a walk and get some exercise.
Natalie: No. We don't need to get some exercise. We need to stay inside the house and watch tv.
Oh dear.
They really don't watch that much tv. And then, really only Wonder Pets. But, they do like it. A lot. We haven't been outside much lately - because it's been 102 degrees. That's a good excuse, right?
Ok, Mommy and Daddy. Less tv. More playing. Got it.

hey! Sane here with the TV and wanting to go outside. I just want to toss her in a stroller and walk like we used to, but no more!
